South Carolina District 5 Patriots

 MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to hold all elected government officials accountable to the people; to demand from them a strong moral character, and a commitment to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America; and to do so with a limited government that promotes a free market society, through which all Americans will possess every opportunity to succeed in their quest for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. 

WHO WE ARE

We are a grassroots organization of United States citizens in South Carolina's Fifth U. S. Congressional District.  We demand and expect our goverment officials to commit to:                                       

• Preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America
• Promote a free market society and economic development
• Work to eliminate the national debt and reduce taxes through efficiencies
• Protect our personal rights and react to our concerns
• Provide security from all threats foreign and domestic
• Provide transparency in government policy and legislation
• Be accountable to the citizens they represent and not special interest groups
• Live up to and be accountable for campaign promises
• Work to eliminate wasteful and unconstitutional government programs

WHAT WE DO 

• Educate the public to the effects of government programs and policies
• Provide facts through information resources and web sites
• Encourage people to act as watchdogs to seek the truth in government
• Promote voter registration and encourage precinct involvement
• Promote town hall forums and other outreach programs
• Offer logical solutions to complex government problems
• Exercise our rights to assemble and free speech to voice our concerns

HOW WE DO IT 

We have established committees through which to do the work necessary to accomplish our goals.

OUR EXPECTATION

We believe the guiding principle of self-governance, as outlined by the Founding Fathers in our Constitution and demonstrated by their resolve to form this great nation called America, simply stated, is this:

The will of  “We the people” shall control the government, and not allow the government to control the will of the people.

We believe that through our involvement, we can help restore this basic principle in the minds of all Americans, and in doing so, we will ensure that future generations will enjoy the inherent and unfettered opportunity to “live free and prosper” in the greatest nation on earth,
